If your internet connection is not stable, then there could be a chance that Outlook freezes when sending email. If it does and Outlook starts working properly, then most likely the problem is with one of your add-ins, which leads us to the next step. The first thing we need to do is kill all hanging Outlook processes. To do this, start up the Windows Task Manager either by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del, or by right clicking the taskbar and choosing "Start Task Manager".

If repairing your Microsoft 365 programs didn't resolve your issue, move on to the next step.
